Just was in China for 6 weeks. On Hainan Island off the very southern coast I visited a botanical garden in Xinglong. Although this plant was not in the garden, it was planted alongside the road leading up to the garden entrance. Tried to find a name somewhere and ask the employees in the garden to no avail. Totally stumped and completely smitten by this plant. Can someone identify this for me??? I am new to this website. What a treasure! Here's to hoping someone can give me the answer...... THANKS!!!
