I have a few agaves pertaining to the species A.americana and A. potatorum and thay have become infected with something, I cannot know what it is. The base of the leaves -specially the newer ones which haven´t even unfolded yet- are turning white, the central spike is thinning near its base and then some oxide-color marks are left on the leaves as they grow out.

The plants are outside in a pot with a very well draining mix. The climate I think is unbeatable since I live in Baja California, Mexico.

I´d appreciate any comments on this. Thanks.

I'm not sure from that description, others may know, but a photo or 2 would help

Ok, I have some pictures here. The first one is A. americana. The second is A. potatorum. Both are still young specimens and in dire need of help. I already lost 2 to this disease.
