Hello! I have a tree in the back of my home that has recently had a large root cut (the landscape crew I hired cut it even though I told them not to). This tree is in a strange place. The previous homeowner planted it really close to the house (which I never would have done, but I like it now that it is there), so there were really only three major directions for the roots to spread out. The landscape crew cut one of the major roots in front of the tree and since then the leaves are starting to brown. I am not sure how to help it or what to do. The other issue is, I'm not sure what type of tree it is (am thinking a crabapple or pear) It flowers white in early spring. I will post some pictures and appreciate any help you can offer. :) Thanks all. I am really sad about this, as it's an amazing and beautiful tree.

    Sincerely,
    Charline
