I live in England and was given this beautiful Stephanotis in full bloom by my work colleagues when my son was born in July 1979. Here is the twist-it never bloomed again until May 2022, 43 years later, when it suddenly produced a mass of scented flowers! It has lived in the same place all these years on a window sill in the bathroom and receives only water, no fertiliser. It bloomed again in 2023 and 2024. Then just two little flowers last month. I'm hoping there be more in the spring. Would anyone like to comment or offer any explanation for it's behaviour? As you can guess, it has great sentimental value!
