Hello all! I live In California & this past summer I've seen a lot of sap bleeding from my peach tree. This tree has prodcued fruit - very small though (like 1-2" around) and usally in very large quantities (150+). I'm concerned that the tree is in shock or has some kind of disease. I've included photos of the tree. There is no sap at the base of the tree, however, alongthe trunk and the branches it's fairly heavy. Any suggestions, help or how to get my tree back to a healty state would be greatly appreciated.
I suspect you have borers of some sort. Shothole borer (Scolytus rugulosus) http://www.ipm.ucdavis.edu/PMG/PESTNOTES/pn7421.html
