My outdoor plants are INFESTED with little yellow bugs :0( HELP!

A few months ago I ordered and planted 4 flowering plants that the monarch Butterfly feeds on the flowers of (I cant remember the name)

I went on vacation and came home and noticed my plants (only there four) covered in tiny yellow bugs) also on two of the four plants there is a green spider looking bug not sure if these are its offspring (YUK!).

Here are some pictures, sorry but my camera is a little out dated so they may not be perfectly clear. But you should be able to nitice the plants are covered with these little yelow insects (kinda like ticks) they seem to be more concentrated at the top but are all over all four plants from top to bottom. (there are other plants in the garden but the bugs are only on there four.

Any ideas or help would be appriciated!

It appears to be aphids. If that's the case the ladybug in the third picture (DSC00015.jpg) must be well fed.

 

yup, aphids. that ladybug is having one heck of a feast!!

you can also spray them off with the hose - really blast it. they'll come back, just not as many.

 

So is there any other way to get rid of them besides the hose? I dont want to just squirt them all over my other plants.

Are they going to kill my plants?

I guess I should do a google search on aphids and find out as much as I can! :0)

You can take the bulk off by hand and spray with white oil

YUK! I dont know if I want to touch them, maybe my husband will do it...Im not much of a bug touching kind of person. LOL

What kind of oil is "white oil" ?

I did read somewhere that I can buy lady bugs to put in the garden to eat them. I do like Lady bugs.

 

White oil is what we use to control aphids and scale over here. It must be an Aussie thing. Anyway here is a recipe

Aphids for sure, but be careful they will kill a plant, and very soon that lady bug might explode. > . <
