    Hi again,

Pic82 is of great interest to me as I see it growing in many locations in my garden and am aware that it was not planted in all locations. It would appear to be very invasive, is it a weed that I should rid my garden of or what is it?

pic 83 I see growing in many locations as well, it reminds me of a weed that grew on my home farm common name (pig weed) do I pick it or is it something else?

    Thanks,

    Skip

Hi Skip, they are both weeds. The first appears to be curly dock (Rumex crispus or some other Rumex); the second is lamb's quarters (Chenopodium album). The plant that we called pig weed on our farm was a wild amaranth.

Dock is, to me, a vile useless weed that pops up everywhere. Lamb's quarters can be eaten as a cooked green when the plants are young. It is tasty, somewhat like spinach.
