I was given a plant about 2 months ago that did not come with one of those picks that identifies it and tells you how to take care of it. As you can see by the pictures, the plant is dying, thanks to me. Please tell me what type of plant this is and how to salvage it and make it healthy again. I love this plant!

I nominate this plant for the most popular ID request posted here.

You have a Dracaena marginata (Madagascar Dragon Tree)

Make sure it is potted so that the water drains out of the bottom and it's not sitting in water. Water when the top 1-2" of the soil are dry. Feed once a month spring-fall with any common houseplant food.

Thank you so much! How much sun does this plant need? I've had in my bedroom in a dark corner.

The more indirect light the better, but these plants are well known as great "low light" plants. So, as long as it's not in total darkness all the time it should do well. Just leave your blinds open during the day and that should be great.
