This plant appeared underneath my computer room window this year. I have no idea what it is or where it came from. I have a picture of it here so maybe someone out there can tell me what it is. The curved stems with the garlic shaped bulbs have straightened out and are now growing straight up. There is a sword like projection from the tops of the bulbs. I swear these bulbs look like miniature garlics with the white paper covering small cloves. There is no smell to them however nor to the leaves when pinched. Help me out here, please. susi

It is garlic, those are the flowers. The bulbs can be dug up when the foliage yellows and the stems begin to dry.

L.I.B. who'da thunk it? I'll never understand how something can just come up like that in the most out of the way places. Wonder why there is no garlic smell to it? Oh well, if it looks like garlic and grows like garlic, it must be garlic. Thank you so much, smivies and abgardeneer.
