My kumquat tree is about 5 year old and every spring it produces many fruit (small and round, but sweet). It is about 12 foot tall. In this early spring, I cut one of its branches since it blocked my mowing. Then it began to have some of brown leafs. I called an expert and he told me that I might water it at night, so it might be attacked by fungus. Recently, Houston is extremely hot and dry, and the leafs of the whole tree began to be sluggish and curl. I did not water it too often, because I am afraid that might cause its root rotten. But its leafs become drier. I really do not know what I should do to rescue it. Please help! Thanks
