My front yard is one huge perennial garden that was professionally landscaped by the previous owner. We have only been in the house for 1 1/2 years, and I have discovered horsetail spreading throughout the entire bed. I have contact several landscapers in the area, but everyone is telling me that the only thing I can do is to have the entire front yard redone, as there is nothing that can get rid of horsetail (at least at the level that I have it). This is huge task (not to mention expense) as it is very large area with a sloped hill, huge rocks and numerous junipers, bushes, and perennials. I feel hopeless as I am afraid that my entire front yard will turn into one huge weed and there is nothing I can do. Does anyone have suggestions?
Thank you for the link. I had read that thread prior to posting my question as I have tried many (but not all of the suggestions) without any luck. I wasn't sure if there were any new ideas.
