My dieffenbachia bloomed...first time ever

    that I know of anyway! Just caught it when I was in grooming plants and cleaning up for the start of winter.

    I see a lot of them down here in Florida but I never knew they flowered. COOL!

    Sunrize, I never knew they flowered either! It was a big surprise to me to see it. I have 4-5 dieffenbachias and have never noticed them doing it before.
    Edleigh, that is either "Tropical Tiki" or "Sparkle", I get those 2 mixed up. A year or so ago, they were the 2 "newest" dieffenbachia introductions to the mass market here.

    You do not often see Dief's flower .
    Ed there are not many of these here , can be very hard to find any interesting ones .
    I am trying to hunt up some myself .

    I'm on the hunt as well mate, let me know if you find any different ones and I'll do the same. My old D. bowmannii used to pump out the inflo's, maybe its more common for that particular species. Haven't got a photo because I didn't even know it was an aroid back then :/
