My Beautiful Cannas! (and not so beautiful Brugmansia)

Wow, thanx for the trade Ian! They turned out beautiful!

I'll attach a pic of the Brugmansia I traded too... It's not so happy, didn't flower at all, has lost most of it's gigantic leaves... any ideas as to why this might have happened?

 

Brugmansias love to eat all the time, and water constantly. Stop for any length of time, and you get what you have, a sad plant. Feed it, add some Epsom salts as well, the new growth will come in green. As for flowers, some of mine are going to put on another flush, bit of long late bloomer, I'll probably cover it up for the winter after.

Thank you so much!! I knew the Cannas loved water, but assumed the Brugmansia was more of a dry tropical... not sure where I got that from... I gave it a super-soak today, now I'm so glad I did. It was very dry, it actually bubbled, so will see what comes of it then. (and I was worried I had overwatered it!) Thanx Carol! Will give it some Epsom salt solution in the morning.

 

I water mine twice a day it seems, it loves it. If your into miracle grow, use that or similar also.
