I went hiking in the woods yesterday in Nanaimo, BC. I saw many mushrooms. One stand out for me as it is the largest size mushroom I have seen on the island. Can someone tell me what's the name of the mushroom? Whether this poison or no?

Greetings and welcome to the forum Ma6892011!

This is a Russula, very likely Russula brevipes, the short-stemmed Russula.

Is the mushroom edible? Not a poison mushroom?

    Thanks Frog.

I'm not keen on making edibility pronouncements in online forums, for a variety of excellent reasons.
But if you google "Russula brevipes" or consult print resources, you will get lots of information, both about this species and about what is sometimes turns into when parasitized by Hypomyces lactifluorum.
