    Hi,
I am thinking of transplanting my musa from it's container to the ground next spring...how widespread do the pups grow? I see pictures and clumps around the city, but am trying to anticipate how much space and in what kind of time, this would take in my yard, before I plant it in the ground.

If I create a wee berm, with some edging of sorts to "contain" the soil, will the pups stop there, or pop up and appear coming from the grass next to the area (someday soon)?

    Any ideas?
    thanks

Much depends on the growing and soil conditions. Given time, they'll spread far and wide but just shovel out the unwanted growth to contain it.

    Cheers, LPN.
