    hi
this is my first post here so i will introduce myself: after having lived in vancouver for many years i came back to france where i am the head of the parks board of a town outside of lyon
i am interested in the subjet of mulching of trees. at the parks board i have a difficult time getting the gardners to mulch newly planted trees as well as older trees that are in exposed areas.
what kind of mulching are you familiar with. i am tempted to use shredded green wastes that have been composted long enough for the mulch to not produce any heat. any idea about that? is it interesting to integrate a part of compost to that kind of mulch?
    thank you
