Does any know how to kill a Mulberry tree. It growing into the chain link fence and has been there for about 10 + years. We are now replacing the fence and would like to get rid of it. The roots are so deep that we thought maybe there might be something like we could pour into the root system. I've heard copper nails may do the trick.

Brush killer on a "seconds old cut" can be very effective.
Use full strength with an old paintbrush.

I've used this method many times to get rid of trees. It works great - but you have to be patient.

A common brand would be Round-Up. Buy the concentrated version for painting on the fresh cut stump. It may still require a couple of subsequent applications (regular strength) to any sprouts that occur.
