I have a H. syriacus "Red Heart' which has been planted in the same location for about 10 years. It is about 8' high and wide and blooms beautifully every year. Unfortunately it is too close to the front of the bed and hides other plants, so I'd like to move it.

Does anyone know how tolerant Rose of Sharon is to being moved? What kind of root system do they have? I don't want to risk moving it if it is likely to kill or seriously stress the plant so it doesn't recover.
