I searched, but couldn't find what I was looking for. I have some sort of citrus tree/bush/plant in my back yard. What the wife and I thought it was, was a lemon plant.(thats what my grandma told me.) Anyway, the fruit last year was nice and green about the size of a fist, and it was starting to turn yellowish. So the wife and I thought it was a good time to pull the limes off the tree. We were going to use them in some homemade Margarita's. Well, when we finally cut one open and tasted it, to my suprise it tasted like an orange. I was kinda in shock. Well, those were some great tasting Margarita's. No to get to my question. I'm putting up a patio cover on the back of my house. The cover, will cover pretty much the whole tree. I'm actually going to have top the tree a bit. I don't want to cut it down, but I need to get it out of the way. I don't think it will grow to well there(under the cover), and I just simply need to move it. Can I dig enough around it, and maybe about 2 foot deep without killing this thing? I really liked the fruit it produced, and don't want to get rid of it completley. Can some one help?
