We would like to look at a mountain hemlock (and perhaps also for a sub-alpine fir) on the west side of Vancouver. Are you aware of any mountain hemlock and sub-alpine fir planted in a garden close to UBC?

    Thanks for your help.

Both are frequent in plantings down here, maybe a location there is given in Dr. Straley's Vancouver tree book.

They are, of course, abundant at higher elevations, such as Cypress and Mt Seymour Parks.

    Hello,

yes, I realize that Mountain Hemlock and Sub-alpine Fir grow higher up on the North Shore Mountains. However, I am looking for a specific "sample" of these two species in a residential garden somewhere in the West Point Grey / UBC area. Ideally I would be able to see younger / smaller plants...

    Thank you for your help.
