Wondering if anyone has a good moss removal solution for roofs. Have a large maple on the east side of the building. Not permitted to remove or prune. First year with moss on roof. Prefer home based solution if possible.. Thanks
Please note today's news storey on moss killer applied to a roof the mass kill of fish. The moss killer washed off the roof and killed salmon and trout juveniles. Could the moss be scraped or raked off?
When I need to clean my paths I use cloudy ammonia and a scrubbbing brush. That works. May be you can detour spout water while you are doing this. Pressure hoses will also work. Liz I had a thought on this and realised you probably do not have a corrugated iron roof so the above may not be suitable. found this while searching for better info http://www.bradlewis.com/oregon/portland/house/roof/moss/removal/composite_moss_removal.php
Thanks for the info Have asphalt shingle and pressure washing if not done right lifts the tiles Zinc is good but bad for the environment Laundry powder and pine cleaner works well but not for the environment May have to heat lamp it to dry out and brush off Thanks again Cathy
