moss ID 2

    Fraser Valley, BC.
    There's money in this one! One whole Canadian Looney.
    I vaguely suspect this may be Ceratodon purpureus.
    As you can see plant is less than 1cm high, excluding the stalk & spore capsule.
    Same habitat as the last one.

    If you are wondering why the questions, I am interested in the vegetation in this particular location & the mosses are a bit beyond me.

    I think that's a good suspicion. With a common name like fire moss, I think the possibilities it is something else are fairly slim.
