Hi, someone gave me a Moses in a Basket plant. A suckling is growing from the base. Do I leave it there to continue growing or could I try to cut it away and start a new plant? If I leave it, will the plant look and do alright or will it become too off centered?

    Nancy,

Personally, I would leave it be for now and see how you feel about when it gets a little bigger, you might even see more shoots. If it does look funny, or out of sorts, you can cut it then and root it in soil for another plant.

Tradescantia spathacea. Often commonly referred to as, Moses in a boat, or an Oyster plant

Thanks, I'll try leaving it for awhile and see what happens.
