Just wondering, do birds eat morning glory seeds? I have a whole bunch on a few vines, and I was just wondering if I should leave them up for the birds.

Well, can't say I've seen birds eating mine. One consideration: if you leave the seeds, you will most likely have MANY more morning glory plants next year!

I do leave my verbascum, coreopsis, and echinacea seed-heads be through the winter---the birds DO like these. Have seen them go for evening primroses, too. Goldfinches have been constant visitors all season, and I think it's because it was a banner year for coreopsis.

So, I say---try leaving some seeds and see who comes to visit! In the middle of winter some critter might be glad to have 'em.
