My brother has these growing at his place. Says #1 is dill and I can use it for canning dill pickles.
#2 is a bush with yellow flowers ? and seeds ?
#3 is this some kind of ornamental grass ? He only has one clump of it growing out
back and it is quite tall, 6-8 feet tall.

The leaves in the foreground of the first picture are definitely not dill (should be soft, needle-shaped leaves), and I'm not convinced that the seedheads (second photo) are either - they look too broad, off hand. Could you confirm whether or not the leaves in the first picture are part of the plant in question?

Also, dill should smell strongly of dill - if it doesn't, it isn't.

    Not here
The twining plant is a knotweed. The grass is a common reed, an invasive species covering wetlands with large patches. In the garden, where not grown in water it does not spread as vigorously - at least out here in our dry summer climate - but there are more ornamental species of grasses available in nurseries anyway.

Giant reed (Arundo) is similar, but with larger ("giant") parts. Probably not present as a wild plant in New York, possibly not even hardy in gardens there. Here on the west coast I have seen it growing wild only down in California, not even in mild (USDA 8) western Washington or Oregon.

Yes the leaves are part of the plant in question. If not dill, would you know what it is ?

thank you both for your replies.

Probably your "dill" is a Pastinaca sativa...

I'm sorry, but I don't know exactly what Bidens species lives is your area... :( (But it will great, if somebody could tell me!!!)
And there is another problem too: I can't see the leaves, and the habit of this plant on your photo... another photo, without the Bilderdykia will be very helpful...
