Hello: Does anyone know what these 3 are? I think the first may be a purple Rose of Sharon; it was from a tall shrub in my former home in West Van, taken September 07. The second I took last summer in the Okanagan; they were small flowers on a low-lying border plant. The last one I took this past July in a local community garden; if I recall correctly the plant was tiny, perhaps 12-15" high. Any help appreciated. Michelle
Isn't Rose of Sharon the common name for Hibiscus syriacus? I have a photo of a white Rose of Sharon, which I was told is an Hibiscus syriacus. So would this purple one be Hibicus syriacus but its common varietal name unknown?
that's deffinatly rose of sharon /hibiscus syiacus. looks like 'marina' which is almost a blue variety.
