I bought this aroid last week from a woman who's cleaning her garden. It was in terible condition, dry and dirty. Now it shines in my garden! What aroid is this? I believe it is one species of the subfamily monsteriodeae.

    Aroideae subfamily

The first time I saw the plant (blade leaves), I thought it was Philodendron 'Red Carnival' or 'Black Congo' (similar to Imperial Red).

When I found that the plant has a hard stem and grow like monsteriodeae, I am not sure of what it is.

The attached philo is an Imperial Red I found on the net. The only similarities they have are: color and spathe. They have different blades and totally different stems.
