Help! I have a Monstera that is leaning way out of it's pot, and is easily tipped over. I realize that it is a vine and it will continue to reach like a vine. I want to try to straighten it upright to attach it to a supportive structure, but I'm afraid of cracking the stem. It is horizontal and then down out of the pot at present. Also there are 5 main stems and 4 of five are leaning out one way and the other one is leaning in the opposite direction. Easily tipped and looking gangly and ugly, like a hair combover! Do I repot and try to replant roots 'crookedly' to straighten top? Divide and conquer? Cut up and start again? Any suggestions welcome.

I'd re-pot. It's almost as beneficial as restarting your PC when you have a problem! (LOL)

make a pole outta mesh and peat moss ... the leaves will grow huge and its better for the plant anyway.

But how do I straighten it so that it reaches up the pole? At present it is hanging out and down, and seems really stiff when I try to move it.

slowly and surely. Or you can put tthe pole in a seperate pot and put it besides the monstera and let it go from there. You prpbabhly will have to fasten them with bobby pins or something.
