Appreciation: monkey puzzle tree

    i have a monkey puzzle tree approx 5ft high, about 6 years old, the lower branches are gradually turning brown and appear to be dying, any help on this??

    Normal for the lowest branches to die off. If the upper branches die, then it's in trouble.

    Can you post a photo?

    I too have a monkey puzzle around trhe same height and the branches have also begun to turn brown a few months ago. I've put it down to the cold last winter. As Michael has pointed out, lower branches do drop anyway but a photo would be useful too.
