I am moving from Courtenay bc, to Penticton BC, and i was wondering how a monkey tree would survive in the Okanagan, and if i could cut a branch from my house here and somehow plant it there. I realize it is unlike as i have never seen a monkey tree in the Okanagan. Thanx...
Probably a little late to be answering this, but it is likely that it wouldn't survive. Monkey puzzles are roughly a zone 8 plant, and Penticton I believe is a zone 6. Penticton winters can be a bit too harsh for it.
