I planted a monkey tree four years ago in a nice sunny spot, well-drained, and in the last few days, I have noticed a sticky white marshmellow texture substance on the top of the tree. I have not seen this before and cannot seem to find any information on it. Is this a fungus or a disease of some type? Or what else could it be? Thank you for your help!

You might be very specific already, but just to check:

    1. Do you mean the top portion, or the very tip on top?

    2. How big is this stuff?

    3. Any indication of something similar but smaller elsewhere?
