    Hi,

I have a problem with a baby Monkey Pine tree that I bought last year. It was about 12 inches high. At the time, I transplanted it into a larger container. It stayed in the planter all year & I had it protected under a deck over the winter. Within the last few months the pines have turned brown with only about 1 inch right at the top of the tree which is still green. I'm not sure what has happened. Can I still save it? Please help. I love buying trees small I have them grow up with me. Thanks for your help.

Probably an imbalance of nutrients in the small amount of soil in the container. Best to plant it in the open ground, where it can root widely to get the nutrition it needs.
