I have a money tree that has 4 out of 5 trunks dry rotted, which I know that was from over watering. However, can I remove these unattractive dry trunks and how? Also, the trunk that is still alive is thriving and beautiful. I also have been adding water in the humidity tray that is attached to the pot. Can I repot this and remove the 4 dry rotted trunks?
Gently remove the plant from its container and remove any dead material, including any dead roots. Dust the roots with some rooting hormone and repot with a loose, well-draining mix. Do not water for few days...allow the wounds to heal before watering.
thanks for the info. what do I do with the 4 dead trunks. should I leave them braided with the other one or is there a way to remove them?
Hi, I'm curious as to how your Money Tree is doing? Did you remove the problem trunks? Did you want to do it because it was unattractive or would leaving well-enough alone contaminate the healthy trunks??
