Hello everyone! This is my first post on this forum. I am Canadian and I grew up in Banff, but now I live in the Netherlands :)

Anyway, I have a money tree that has three out of five dead stalks but it is otherwise doing fine. One of the two good stalks is growing quite tall, though, and the plant may quickly become top-heavy. (See pics) (Woops! Root = stalk in the first pic, I'm too lazy to change it :P)

What shall I do? Is there a way to get the dead stalks out? Or will that disturb the stability of the trunk? I think it suffered from root rot last year at this time so I replanted it and it is flourishing, except for three stalks which must have been too far gone to save. The dead trunks are NOT squishy near the soil surface but rather quite hard. Would leaving it alone contaminate the other trunks?

Or can I just place a long stick of some kind in there and tie the good stalks to it? I already secured the dead stalks to the good ones (you can see the sisal rope in the pic).

Any advice would be greatly appreciated :) Thank you!
