After doing some research and trying to figure out this myself, I've come here. I planted three of these plants (Momordica cochinchinensis), called quả gấc in Vietnamese, and each of them came out male. I did a little research and found that the seeds seem to ONLY produce male plants. I want the fruit, so, it's pointless to have just males. I attempted to find out how to get the female plants and apparently you have to use the branches in order to make female plants? If I use branches of the male plants will they still come out female?
