Looks very similar to a 'Nathan' had one of these years ago and it does bare similar traits and leaf colours?
Hi everyone. I’m hoping to get a few very knowledgeable brains ticking here. I bought this last year, labelled Hime Shojo, which it clearly wasn’t. However, it was cheap and had a very promising branch structure. On top of that there was some mild reticulation on the leaves. It was late in the season so was very hard to I.D. I’m returning to this thread in the hope of some clarity. I’m also thinking with a pragmatic view that there may be no way for sure I’ll ever know the exact cultivar. But what’s the harm in a little ‘debate’ about what it may be?! The closest we all came to last year was ‘Gold Reticulated’, however now we have more to go on. I’m going to take some pics from top to bottom and particularly the new shoots and leaves. I would love it if people actually gave this just a little attention and told me their thoughts, suggestions etc. Thanks in advance to all of you Japanese Maple enthusiasts out there that read this message. Luke.
Hi Luke, hope your OK today? Firstly photo 1, is that by Marks and Spencer..... ? Lol. Secondly, after trying to be funny and not succeeding. Have a look at my Ariadne from 12th April 2020. Now look at your photo no 5.
Hey @Luke’s Maples It reminds me of my Nebula atm. I'll try to get pics if it's not too late when I get home.
Hey. Yeah I’ve recently heard of Nebula, which is very Aka Shigitatsu Sawa/Amber Ghost looking. I don’t think it’s available here in the UK yet though. Hopefully soon...
