I purchased this plant at a cacti and succulent plant sale. In the last minute frenzy, the vendor hastily replied that the plant is a "pregnant onion". My research has determined that this is incorrect. Can someone identify it by common and botanical names? Thanks!

A friend recommended this site because questions are replied to very quickly. How right he is! I Googled the name you gave, and I believe you have indeed correctly identified my plant. Thank you! I always like to call my plants by name!
