I could not post to this thread because it was more than 63 days old, I dont understand that since it has been bumped in the past.
This is part of what I am experiencing but also I am noticing that my female flowers are shriveling before they open. My male flowers are big and bright orange with no problems. but the females get about a day before they look like they are going to open and then they just shrivel up. I switched to a higher phosphorus fertilizer but that did not help. I have given up on this year but I plan on trying again next year. What did I do wrong. I did learn from the other thread that I should not be watering from sprinklers but drip. Which I will change but I wondered if the mildew contributed to the flowers demise? also there is about a four hour window that the sun is behind an orange tree, is this a problem?

I used slugo snail treatment and diatamacious earth for pill bugs worked great, other than that no pesticides.
