I've seen lots of mildew in my time with the roses in my old garden. The himalayan rose is definitely black spot. It's the fact that all of the roses, all different types with varied locations, have come down with it. Oh well, I've given them a spray of Safers fungicide. It used to work quite well on my other roses. Hope it works on the ones in my new garden. As I said, I buy roses that say they're resistant to diseases. Apparently not. ETA: sorry, somehow this reply to my above post on outbreak of black spot on roses ended as a new thread instead of a reply. Mods please delete if you happen to spot it.
