Might this be a weed?

This plant (along with its caterpillar) looks pretty - but is it a weed? Identification sought ...

Believe it is Polgonatum. Praps Polygonatum hybridum Striatum.

 

A handsome ornamental.

 

This was growing in the wild - although it might have escaped. The leaves don't really have the shape for Solomon's Seal - I thought they were almost a combination of ivy and hosta - notice also the reddish color of the leaf bud ... Hopefully we can keep on looking ..

 

Don't bother to keep on looking, the plant has been identified already. It's a polygonatum.
