The individual flowers are similar to Symphytum, so my first guess was a member of the Boraginaceae family. This plant was growing at 930 m. Only three or four plants were to be seen over quite a wide area of grassland. Photos made 28-4-2013
Thank you Daniel for your reply and absolutely correct ID. I couldn't find illustrations or photographs of this plant in amongst the Field Guides in my possession, which are many.
