...but we're having a tough time finding it in any of our reference books. Sent along via email: The sender was Canadian (from Victoria), so I assume it is being grown at a Victoria nursery or greenhouse.
Definatly Boronia. Not long lived but a beautiful perfume. The pink one lasts longer. As all our natives, don't like too much feeding and wet feet. Do best on a mound for drainage. Brown one http://www.burkesbackyard.com.au/fa...Shrubs/Brown-Boronia---Plant-of-the-Week/2869 Pink one http://www.anbg.gov.au/gnp/gnp1/boronia-heterophylla.html No South east coast and Tasmania. Too hot and dry in WA.
Daniel, So this plant is available locally now? Any hints as to the source or grower of the OP's plant?
Liz, it's native to Western Australia... Florabase: Western Australia Australian Native Plants Society: Boronia megastigma
I always thought it was a highland as in my area type plant. Thanks for that. It grows beautifully here but certainly can die quiet quickly. Other versions of plant from same site http://asgap.org.au/boron1.html Liz
