Hi. I am trying to identify the plant whose photo is attached here.

The leaves look to me like baneberry but the berries are neither red nor white (and I thought that they had to be one or the other). Also the stalk isn't red (which is how I thought baneberry was supposed to have).

Is this baneberry then? And if so, is it white baneberry or redberry? If not, can you help me identify what it is?

The photos were taken on July 9, 2016 on the Potawatamie Trail in Livingstone County, Michigan.

    Thank you for your help.

    Looks like Actaea.
Maybe a cross between Actaea rubra f. leucocarpa with white berries and and Actaea rubra which has red berries.
