Nice! Judging by the color of the flower it appears to be a cultivar, 'Port Wine' perhaps? I was not aware that Piroche propagated this one. Still looking forward to getting a M. figo var. skinneriana from them; unfortunately they don't have any this year.

junglekeeper, could be port wine but it was sold as M. figo straightup.

The ones that I have all produce creamy yellow flowers. Are yours always that color or does it vary according to light/growing conditions?

havent really seen enough to give you an honest answer but these ones seem to emerge creamy and fade to the pink by days end. very fragile blooms too, touch them and they fall apart.

    Hi Lynn:

Any full service, retail nursery that carries
Monrovia plants will either have Michelia
figo at the nursery or the nursery can order
    one for you.
