A year ago I started (indoors) three citrus, an orange, lime and a meyers lemon. The orange and lime are doing well, having increased several times in size, but the meyers lemon has never really taken off. There is alot of leaf loss on the Meyers lemon tree, and very little growth. The tree has flowered 3 times. I generally pick off the flowers after bloom, since I would like the tree to put its energy into growth rather than fruit. However very little leaf/stem growth occurs. I recentlly started another meyers lemon, which promptly lost most of its leaves after I received it (probably dried too much in the mail). It is still alive, but it is flowering all over and not putting out very much leaf growth. Any ideas what might be going on here? What is the typical relationship for this tree between flowering and leaf growth? Anything I can do to encourage more leaf and stem growth on these? TIA
