I have a potted outdoor Meyer Lemon tree that's been doing just fine. I fertilized it recently with organic citrus fertilizer, and then a few weeks later these bright yellow fungi began to grow in the soil and on the base of the trunk of the tree. I think it may be in the roots, too. Does anyone have any idea what this might be and how to get rid of it safely? The fungus is bright yellow, and almost looks like coral.
thanks for this advice.....I have the same problem. They really are quite beautiful and very fast growing.....growing at least 2cm overnight! i think i'll leave it on the tree if they will do it no harm......
