I have a 2 yr old tree, and it bloomed early in March, but we had a frost afterward and it killed the blooms and the new budding of leaves. The small branches are also weak and fragile looking instead of well nourished and strong. I have sprayed for insects and fungacide, and fertilized before bloom time. I did NOT prune it though in the late winter or early spring time like I should have done for fear of losing my tree. I over-pruned a previous mature tree in the past, and it killed it so I was going to wait until this season to prune. Can someone tell me what to do to correct the problem, or is it going to be ok? It is planted close to an area that does stay wet in the spring and winter, but I do not see any mold or fungus.
