    Hi Folks :)

I have just registered at this forum and that's my first post here, so please be mercy ;)
Maybe, I wonder, you can recognize that tree I saw last August on Symi island in southern Greece.
I am afraid I didn't see any flowers, but my friend saw the same tree in Barcelona a two weeks ago and according to her flowers are 'lovely big white and yellow'.

    Many thanks,

It's that elephantine woody pokeweed (Phytolacca) like they have at the Huntington Botanical Gardens, San Marino, California.

Re: Mediterranean tree - no, South American :)

    Hi,

Many thanks for really fast response, Ron!
It's so much easier to learn more about that plant when I know its name :)
I was suprised that Phytolacca dioica comes from South America, so I've changed thread title ...
