We planted a Ponderosa Lemon tree 4 months ago here at our home in Palm Beach Florida. We are seeing beutiful lemon flower blooms that generate massive green lemons but the inside of the lemon has little or no pulp. We are told that as soon as the diameter of the lemon reaches 2.5 to 3 inches in diameter to pick the lemon as it will not turn yellow on the tree. If the lemon is left on the tree longer the rind will continue to grow but with no pulp. We've followed those instructions as well as leaving the lemons on the tree untill they are over 4 inches in diameter with the same result. Massive rind ... no pulp or juice. See the attached photos for comparison. Your help is much appreciatted.

The cut fruit look very unripe to me. Let them stay on the plant for a year, or until they turn yellow / orange.
