maries doublefile viburnum

    My Maries Doublefile Viburnum is about 3 yrs. old. This year it is specatcular.
    My husband is like scissorhands, pruning everything in sight. I don't think
    this viburnum needs to be pruned. I have a friend who has a very old one which she never prunes and it is spectacular year after year. Does this shrub need to be pruned?

    Cutting this back is a good way to spoil the layered branching.
